Poster Competition for performance of The Mandrake, March 2012. The play adapted by Dr Carlo Pirozzi from Machiavelli.
La
Mandragola is the first modern Italian comedy and a masterpiece of
Renaissance theatre. It was defined as "the comedy of a society of which
The Prince is the tragedy", and still today Machiavelli's allegorical
genius raises laughs accompanied by some serious considerations of
political nature. To be sure, the author promises to treat his audience
to wine if this will not happen.

Three students will be chosen to submit roughs & final illustrations will be due on the 30th of January. Posters and Flyers to be printed and distributed around Edinburgh to advertise the performance and exhibited at the performance.
Italian Film Posters, Edinburgh
22 illustrated and designed A3 posters (portrait) of Italian Film, for exhibiting during the Italian Film Festival, April 2012. Open to all Master illustration students.
This is being run in collaboration with Dr Pasquale Iannone, Film Studies Department, University of Edinburgh
Talk on the films and format of project, mid January.
